Limerick establishments honoured at Irish Restaurant Awards Munster Regional Finals
The awards received over 160,000 public, nominations

JJ BOWLES, in Thomondgate, has been crowned the Limerick Pub of the year at the Irish Restaurant Awards Munster Regional Final.
They were one of a number of Limerick establishments to be honoured at the event.
The awards, which are in their 15th year, received over 160,000 public, nominations with one winner from each county being announced. Once county winners are announced, regional and all Ireland winners will be crowned in May.
Finn Robson, of Angel Dust Patisserie and Bakery, on Thomas Street, was awarded Limerick’s Local Food Hero.
Mother Macs, on High Street, was awarded Innovator of the Year while Timmy Macs Bistro at Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel in Adare was crowned Best Sustainable Practices.
Copper and Spice, Annacotty was awarded Best World Cuisine while La Cucina Espresso, on Ballysimon Road, were given the title of Best Café.

The Silver Room Restaurant, Newcastle West, was awarded Best Customer Service, Best Wine Experience went to The Copper Room, on O’Connell Street, and The Terrace, on the University of Limerick’s grounds, was awarded Best Newcomer.
The Best Contemporary Irish Cuisine went to 1826, Adare while The Curragower Bar, Clancy Strand, was given the title of Best Gastropub.
House Limerick, Howley’s Quay, was crowned Best Casual Dining and the Employee Excellence Award went to Collins Bar.
Best Hotel and Guesthouse Restaurant went to The Oak Room, Adare, Best Restaurant Manager went to Liz Phelan of Freddy’s Restaurant on Theatre Lane, and Derek Fitzpatrick, The East Room Restaurant, Plassey House won Best Chef.
Finally, 1826 in Adare was honoured once again, this time as Limerick’s Best Restaurant.
